Reviews and maintains accurate up-to-date bylaws of a professional nature which are in compliance with the National and State Association guidelines. (Meets as needed)
Education Committee members are current on all aspects of the industry in order to respond to members' education needs. Activities include planning, promoting, and implementing seminars, workshops and new members orientation; providing mandatory continuing education (MCE) courses; computer courses, and promoting TAR and NAR courses and professional designations. (Generally meets monthly)
This committee is a committee trained to teach and educate members to abide by the Code of Ethics. The Committee oversees advertising and complaints from REALTORS®, Customers and Clients. Volunteers must complete all day training prior to serving on committee. (Meets as needed) Members must be an active REALTOR® member of NAR a minimum of two years. Keeps members informed on state, national and local levels of legislation. Political involvement is promoted through "Call to Action" alerts, support of political campaigns, political forums and lobbying. Contacts government officials regarding support or defeat of proposed or pending legislation on local state or national levels. Works with TAR in promoting better government. Interviews candidates and seeks recommendations from the membership regarding candidate endorsement. (Generally meets monthly)
The Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee includes all real estate professionals who contribute to our PAC. Our CCAR TREPAC committee focus the efforts of REALTORS® and affiliates working to protect private property rights for residential and commercial REALTORS® and all private property owners. The Committee is responsible for raising funds to support the election of candidates at the local, state and national level. This year the committee will organize a special event, and a Golf Tournament among others, to ensure member investments sufficient to reach our TREPAC quota set by the State Association each year. Unites Affiliates for the purpose of creating mutually beneficial interaction with the REALTOR® members of CCAR. Assists all CCAR committees by acting as a resource for sponsor funds and identifies the need for Affiliate member participation. Plans and implements the Annual Affiliate Holiday Auction. (Generally meets monthly)
Works to facilitate communication among broker/managers and with the CCAR. Oversees Broker/Manager Listserve. (Meets as needed)
Reports to the membership information pertaining to the North Texas Real Estate Information Services (NTREIS). Reports monthly to ATS and CCAR Directors on MLS updates and information. Reviews complaints pertaining to compliance of the MLS Rules and Regulations. (Generally meets monthly.) The Independent Brokers Alliance is a group of independent Designated REALTOR® members of the Collin County Association of REALTORS® who prefer to maintain smaller offices of 20 REALTORS® or less. Their mission is to collaborate and advocate on behalf of broker-owners of small businesses. (Generally meets monthly)
The Leasing and Property Management Committee will increase professionalism and income opportunities for all interested members of CCAR through forums, roundtables and other educational events, as well as provide resources and consultation on leasing and management issues to the general membership.
