CCAR NEWS
Collin County Home Sales Continue to Show Improvement

Collin County's real estate market continues to show signs of growth. The CCAR Pulse reports that closed sales increased by 3.3 percent in July over the previous month, and it took an average of three days less to sell a home.

"Real estate sales have peaked in June or July for the last several years running, and 2009 appears to be no exception," says Steve Haid, CCAR member services director. "The number of projected closed sales in July 2009 was virtually the same as last July-the first time this year where sales have not been substantially lower than the same month in 2008."

Affiliates Can Help You Grow Your Business
Did you know there are people within CCAR who are available to help you grow your business? The role of the CCAR Affiliate Committee is to unite Affiliates for the purpose of creating mutually beneficial relationships with the REALTOR® members of CCAR and lend expertise to the association.

As part of our continued service to the REALTORS® of CCAR, the Affiliate Committee will provide an informational piece each month in a CCAR Weekly Update. Each month we'll focus on a specific REALTOR® industry challenge and offer resources, tools and insight on the topic. Through this, we hope you'll get to know the areas we cover and the individuals who can help you with your business.

The Affiliate Committee consists of advertisers, attorneys, builders, developers, educators, inspectors, and investors. In addition, the committee also has members from companies involved in finance, home warranty, insurance, mortgage, property management, public relations, general services and title insurance.
