Last Chance to Enroll for GRI-2 Marketing at the Early Bird Price
Graduate REALTOR® Institute designees have made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services to their clients. The GRI curriculum incorporates a common body of knowledge for progressive real estate professionals. A REALTOR® who possesses the GRI designation has not only completed a course of study required by the program, but also subscribes to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®. GRI-2 includes instruction on buyer and seller services and real estate technology.

Date and time: Thursday-Friday, June 10-11 AND Wednesday-Thursday, June 16-17, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Cost: $260 (If this is your first GRI course, click here and log-in for a GRI discount coupon). Keep Your NAR Membership Card!
In an effort to go green, and because of the immediacy provided by the Internet, NAR has opted to transition the printed Member Reference Guide to an entirely online format beginning in 2011. Therefore, the Guides that are now mailing will be the final printed Guide and card you will receive from NAR.

"A Night With Elvis" a Success
The Affiliate Committee's June 4 event, "A Night With Elvis," was a success! $1,240 was raised for TRLP and more funds continue to come in. A big thank you goes out to those who helped make the event a success: CCAR's Affiliate Committee, Bill Chesnutt, Casey Ross, Gigi Loch, Arrow Exterminators, Tom Westhora, Tony Allsop, Mary Nelson, Byron Ingraham, Janeil Lester, Gae Hefley, Coyle Beard, and Ken Missler. UPCOMING EDUCATION CLASSES
NEW CLASS: Foundation Repairs: Avoid Closing Pitfalls
This class will teach you how to avoid closing pitfalls while gaining a better understanding of engineering and plumbing reports. This course receives rave reviews everywhere it's taught, so don't miss your opportunity to attend.

TREC Legal Update
TREC requires licensed REALTORS® in the business more than 12 months to have six legal hours. This course, along with TREC Legal Ethics, fulfills TREC's requirement. The Legal Update and Legal Ethics courses each offer three legal hours.

Date and time: Monday, June 21, 9 a.m.-noon (Legal Update). Cost: $20 for CCAR members, $30 for non-members. MCE: Three TREC legal hours. Instructor: Peggy Santmyer. Register for this class.

TREC Legal Ethics
TREC requires licensed REALTORS® in the business more than 12 months to have six legal hours. This class, along with TREC Legal Update, fulfills TREC's requirement. The Legal Update and Legal Ethics courses each offer three legal hours.

NEW CLASS: Understanding Seller Representation and Your Obligations
As a REALTOR®, your fiduciary relationship with your clients requires a high level of good faith, loyalty, confidentiality, and a duty to protect your clients' best interests. This class discusses the listing agreements and contractual agreements you have with your clients, as well as issues representing sellers in foreclosure, short sale, and other unusual transactions.

Date and time: Tuesday, June 22, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Cost: $35 for CCAR members, $49 for non-members. MCE: Four hours (no legal). Instructor: Peggy Santmyer. Register for this class.

NEW CLASS: Understanding the Buyer's Rep Agreement
