Vote for Propositions 2, 3, 5, and 11 on November 3

Pay Early...Be Eligible to Win Great Prizes!
The 2010 Membership Dues Renewal Notice has been e-mailed to all of our members. Member invoices are posted on the CCAR Web site,
http://www.ccar.net/. The due date is Dec. 1, 2009, but if you pay your dues online by October 31, you will be eligible to win one of 75 great prizes. All those who pay by October 31 will be entered into a drawing for:

  • One of five: 2010 membership dues reimbursements
  • One of 10: PC Notebooks
  • One of 15: iPod Nanos
  • One of 20: American Express $50 gift cards
  • One of 25: Starbucks $10 gift cards

To pay your dues online, go to http://www.ccar.net/ and click on "Pay Dues & Other Fees" under "CCAR Online Services."

  • Log-in with your seven-digit real estate license number or member number and your MLS password (or last name if not a subscriber of ATS/MLS).
  • Go to "Pay/View Bill Online," then proceed as directed on each page until you see "Successful Transaction" on the top of the page.
  • PRINT the "Successful Transaction" page. This is your receipt.

IMPORTANT: When paying online, your transaction is not complete until you see a "Successful Transaction" message.
 
Remember, to be eligible for the drawing, you must pay your membership dues online by October 31. With 75 prizes, the odds of winning are pretty good!

 

CCAR EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
New Three-Hour Class: Home Staging

The real estate mantra is no longer "location, location, location," it's now "staging, staging, staging!" It's all about presentation, and in this class you will learn winning tactics, secrets and strategies for selling a home at top dollar during these challenging times. As part of this course, the instructor will stage a room right in front of your eyes, so that you can see first-hand the power that staging can have in selling a home.

Date and time: Wednesday, October 14, 1-4 p.m. Cost: $25 for CCAR members, $35 for non-members. MCE: Three hours (no legal). Instructor: Natalie Brown, ASP, IAHSP. To register for this class, please click here.

Graduate REALTOR® Institute, GRI-2
Graduate REALTOR® Institute designees have made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services to their clients. The GRI curriculum incorporates a common body of knowledge for progressive real estate professionals. A REALTOR® who possesses the GRI designation has not only completed a course of study required by the program, but also subscribes to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®. GRI-2 includes two days of technology instruction and one day each of seller services and buyer services.

Dates and time: Monday-Thursday, October 19-23, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (except Tuesday, 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m.). Cost: $260. SAE: 30 hours. MCE: Nine hours (no legal). Instructors: Pat Strong and Mike Kelly. To register for this class, please click here.

New Class: Microsoft PowerPoint: Putting Power in Your Point
This course will teach you the skills needed to create dynamic Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

TREC Legal Update and TREC Legal Ethics
TREC requires licensed REALTORS® in the business more than 12 months to have six legal hours. These two classes fulfill TREC's requirement. The Legal Update and Legal Ethics courses each offer three legal hours.

Date and time: Tuesday, October 27 (class held offsite), 9 a.m.-noon (Legal Update), 1-4 p.m. (Legal Ethics). Location: Commonwealth Title - 1415 Legacy Dr., Ste. 230, Frisco 75034.
