$25 Headshots at CCAR this Wednesday-Thursday

CCAR's Independent Broker Network has invited Tanya Todd Photography to take headshots at CCAR this Wednesday, September 23 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and again on Thursday, September 24 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. This opportunity is open to all CCAR broker and agent members. 
 
Each sitting includes a disk with several edited headshots, along with a release for internet, marketing and promotional use. The cost is $25 per person (at least 20 people must sign-up; otherwise the cost will be $40).

stacey@mypremiereproperties.com. The photos will be taken in CCAR's conference room.

REALTORS® Warned About High School Calendar Scam
It has been brought to CCAR's attention that several REALTORS® in the area have been targeted by a scam involving fraudulent school calendars. A company going by the name of "School Calendars by Spirit Calendars" is contacting area REALTORS® about advertising in their local high school's calendar. If you are contacted by a calendar company claiming to be working on behalf of a specific area high school, please contact that high school to determine whether it is a true partnership.

TAR Endorses Governor Perry for Re-election
All political committees and entities of TAR, including its executive board and board of directors, voted unanimously at the annual convention to endorse Governor Rick Perry for re-election in 2010.

"Throughout his time in office, Governor Perry has been a tireless champion for Texas homeowners and those who aspire to be homeowners," said Brooke Hunt, TAR Chairman. "Governor Perry shares our core values: Protecting private-property rights, supporting the free enterprise system, reducing the state's heavy reliance on property taxes, and advancing public policies that benefit homeowners. CCAR 2010 Membership Dues Billing Coming Soon
CCAR will e-mail 2010 membership dues billing statements in early October. It is important that we have a current valid e-mail address for you, so please be sure to update your e-mail address if it has recently changed. You can view and edit your contact information by going to
www.ccar.net. Under "CCAR Online Services," click on "Update Your Contact Information" and log in with your MLS ID and password (Affiliates log in with your membership ID and password).

We will not mail paper bills this year, so please be sure your e-mail address is correct. Once the e-mail statements have been sent, you may pay your dues online by going to www.ccar.net and clicking on "Pay Dues & Other Fees" under "CCAR Online Services." If you don't receive the e-mail notice because we either have an incorrect e-mail address for you, or your e-mail account filters out our e-mails, you can still go to our Web site in early October to pay your membership dues. As in prior years, you may also fax in your payment by credit card or pay in person by check or credit card.

This course is designed around three excellent books that focus on lead generation and retaining your clients through the Rainmaker systems. In this course, you'll learn how to become a rainmaker for your business as we discuss:

Graduate REALTOR® Institute, GRI-1
Graduate REALTOR® Institute designees have made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services to their clients. The GRI curriculum incorporates a common body of knowledge for progressive real estate professionals. A REALTOR® who possesses the GRI designation has not only completed a course of study required by the program, but also subscribes to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®. GRI-1 includes instruction on contract forms, contract procedures, finance and Fair Housing.
