The benefits of being an Affiliate member of the Collin County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) have never been better! Becoming a member is easy, and we provide you with the tools and opportunities you need to successfully market and provide services to area REALTORS® and their clients.
Being an Affiliate of CCAR means you get to participate in all of these benefits:
Networking: CCAR offers you the opportunity to network with members at numerous business and social functions. We hold several Business Development Meetings each month at a variety of locations including: Allen, Eastern Collin County (Wylie), Northern Collin County (Frisco), and Plano.
Website Listings: As an Affiliate of CCAR, your company logo or personal photo and your bio are included in the Affiliate Directory of our member website, www.ccar.net. We encourage our members to do business with Affiliates, and our Affiliate Directory is often the first stop a REALTOR® makes when looking for an Affiliate service provider. In addition, your information is also included in the “Service Providers” section of our consumer website, www.LoneStarHomes.com.
Marketing Materials: Only Affiliate members of CCAR are allowed to leave their business cards and other marketing materials at the Association office for distribution to REALTORS® and their clients. Our Affiliate “Business Card Directory” is one of the first places new members stop to make connections with service providers who are integral to their business.
Advertising: CCAR offers a variety of discounted advertising opportunities for its Affiliate members. Whether you want to advertise in the Weekly Update e-newsletter, or at a Business Development Meeting or education class, we have the opportunity for you!
Committee Involvement: As an Affiliate, you have the opportunity to become involved on many of CCAR’s committees. This involvement not only brings an additional opportunity to network with REALTORS®, but also the ability to plan special events for members and establish policies for the Association.
Recognition: Every Affiliate is eligible to be selected as the Association’s Affiliate of the Year. This annual award recognizes one Affiliate member for his/her work and contributions to CCAR, which benefit the Association and its membership.
Affiliate members are real estate owners and other individuals of firms who, while not engaged in the real estate profession as defined as a REALTOR® member, have interests requiring information concerning real estate, and are in support of the objectives of the Association. Affiliate members have been duly authorized by the firm to execute and submit this application, agree to be responsible for the payment of dues and other monetary obligations to CCAR for the firm and any other members of the firm who join CCAR as Associate Affiliates; and the provisions of this paragraph are valid, binding and enforceable obligations of the firm.
Secondary Affiliate members are currently holding Affiliate membership through another REALTOR® Association in Texas and have paid TAR dues at that association. Secondary Affiliate members shall abide by the above provisions for Affiliate members.
Associate Affiliate members are employees of or associated with Affiliate members and are employed by or associated with the same firm as the Affiliate member. The Affiliate member must be a member in good standing of the Association in order for an Associate Affiliate member to apply for and maintain membership.
