If you are changing offices or have an associate who is changing offices, please use this quick checklist:

Contacts and Mail

Make sure there is an arrangement for notifying all of your contacts of your new address and arrange with your old office to forward your mail. You’ll need to submit an Agent Change Form to CCAR. If you have questions about the form, please contact our Member Services Department at 972-618-3800.

Old Broker

  1. Complete the Agent Change Form to “remove” the license holder (if the agent is already a CCAR member) and fax or mail the completed form to CCAR. If ATS is notified of the termination by the 25th day of the last month of the quarter, MLS fees will not be due for the following quarter.
  2. Submit a copy of the Agent Change Form to your keycard provider. If your provider is CCAR, this step is not necessary.
  3. Submit the Notice of Salesperson Sponsorship Termination Form to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).
  4. Follow-up with TREC to ensure that they received the Salesperson Sponsorship Termination Form.

New Broker

  1. New license holders must go to CCAR to sign-up. Sign-up for new members is held Monday-Friday at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. at our Plano office, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at our Dallas,  McKinney, and Wylie offices.
  2. Complete the Agent Change Form to “add” the license holder (if the agent is already a CCAR member) and indicate access level for MLS. Be sure to include the agent’s new email address, if applicable.
  3. Submit a copy of the Agent Change Form to your keycard provider. If your provider is CCAR, this step is not necessary.
  4. Submit the Salesperson Sponsorship Form and applicable fee to TREC.
  5. If the MLS provider is an association other than ATS (CCAR MLS), you must join that association’s MLS and pay fees to them.

Transfer of Listings

If the salesperson is transferring any listings, a completed Listing Transfer Form (Releasing Form, Receiving Form) must accompany the Agent Change Form. In lieu of a Listing Transfer Form, a statement from the agent’s old Broker releasing the listings and a statement from the new Broker accepting the listings may accompany the Agent Status Change/Transfer Form. Please include the MLS number and property address on this statement.

Change of Personal Information Only

If you are changing your e-mail address, home address, contact telephone numbers, etc., please include your real estate license number with your noted changes and e-mail it to membership@ccar.net. We will notify Texas REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® of your changes and/or transfer.

Please remember if you are transferring to a Broker who uses a different MLS provider, in order to avoid additional fees, you should transfer at the end of a quarter. MLS fees are not refundable, nor transferable from one provider to another.
