Committees

Affiliate
The Affiliate Committee unites Affiliate members for the purpose of creating mutually beneficial interaction with the REALTOR® members of CCAR. Further, the committee assists all CCAR committees by acting as a resource for advertiser funds and identifies the need for Affiliate member participation. The Affiliate Committee also plans and implements the Annual Affiliate Holiday Auction.

Bylaws
The Bylaws Committee reviews and maintains accurate, up-to-date bylaws and policies of the Association to ensure compliance with national and state association guidelines.

Education
The Education Committee responds to members' education needs by planning, promoting and implementing seminars, workshops, New Member Orientation, mandatory continuing education (MCE) courses, and computer classes. In addition, this committee also promotes TAR and NAR courses, as well as professional designations.

Government Affairs
The Government Affairs Committee keeps members informed of local, state and national legislation. In addition, political involvement is promoted through "Call to Action" alerts, support of political campaigns, political forums, and lobbying. The committee also contacts government officials regarding support or defeat of proposed or pending legislation on local, state and national levels. The Committee also interviews candidates and seeks recommendations from the membership regarding candidate endorsements, as well as works with TAR in promoting better government.

Inspector
The Inspector Committee provides professional, informative, and dedicated services by creating a platform for leadership and training with CCAR REALTOR® and Affiliate members.

Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
The MLS Committee meets monthly to review regional MLS-North Texas Real Estate Information System (NTREIS)-issues. The committee recommends system enhancements to NTREIS, and reports relevant MLS issues to the CCAR Board of Directors, ATS Board of Directors, and the CCAR membership. The committee reviews complaints pertaining to compliance of MLS Rules and Regulations. Property Management
The Property Management Committee increases professionalism and income opportunities for all interested CCAR members through forums, roundtables, and other educational events. The committee also provides resources and consultation on leasing and management issues to the general membership.

REALTOR®/Lender
The REALTOR®/Lender Committee opens channels of communication between REALTORS® and lenders to keep the CCAR membership educated and informed on the latest mortgage issues that affect the real estate industry.

Strategic Planning
This committee evaluates the existing CCAR strategic plan, makes informed decisions on any changes or adjustments that need to be made to that plan, and evaluates ways to both strengthen the Association and be able to better communicate the strategic mission and vision of CCAR to leadership and the membership.

Technology
The Technology Committee provides members with information on emerging trends in technology that will impact their business and business operations and provides opportunities for members to share information with respect to new technologies and new business applications. Evaluate leading-edge technology, research technology issues (except MLS), and disseminate relevant information to Texas REALTORS®, thereby helping REALTORS® utilize technology to enhance professionalism and gain efficiencies in their respective real estate practices.

Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee (TREPAC)
The TREPAC Committee includes all real estate professionals who contribute to the state PAC. The committee focuses the efforts of REALTORS® and Affiliates working to protect private property rights for residential and commercial REALTORS® and all private property owners. In addition, the committee raises funds to support the election of candidates at the local, state, and national levels, as well as organizes special events to ensure member investments are sufficient to reach CCAR's TREPAC quota.

Young Professionals Network(YPN)
The YPN Committee helps young real estate professionals excel in their careers by giving them the tools and encouragement to become involved in four core areas: REALTOR® association, real estate industry, peers, and community.
