Proxy Voting is Underway: What You Need to Know

Proxy Vote Social-02-02

The proxy voting period is currently open for our voting members to cast a proxy vote on the proposed merger between Collin County Area REALTORS® and the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®.

On July 15, a reminder was sent to members who had not yet cast their proxy vote. The reminder was sent from “announcement@associationvoting.com.” It’s time to make your voice heard by casting your vote.

We understand that multiple perspectives will surface in moments of change. While we welcome dialogue, we want to ensure that you have access to accurate, complete information so you can make a fully informed decision.

This merger is about creating more access, more opportunity, and a stronger future for all of us. Here are some highlights of what the merger means for you:

✅ Your CCAR office stays open, and a new Collin County building is planned
✅ More member support, more access, more tools
✅ Free CE (yes, free!) — take required classes in-person or online
✅ No dues increase due to the merger
✅ Forewarn and Property Shield included at no extra cost
✅ You keep your committee and gain more opportunities
✅ Plus, access to all CCAR + MetroTex offices and events.

If you have a question about the proposed merger that you feel has not yet been appropriately answered, we urge you to take a moment to submit an inquiry at www.StrongerTogether.RealEstate. Every question will be answered. We’re here to provide answers, not pressure.

Here are some helpful resources available to you:

• The Resolution, Plan of Merger, and the Amended and Restated Bylaws can be accessed by links in your past email communications or within your proxy ballot. Please email election@ccar.net if you need help accessing those links.
• An 11-minute video covering the highlights of the merger can be found below.
• The website www.StrongerTogether.RealEstate has key information, a timeline, FAQs, and a submission form to ask questions.

Thank you for your engagement during this important time for our association.
