Collin County REALTORS® Host Free Community-Wide Youth Heart Screening Event on July 17

Summer is the perfect time to check up on your child's health and the upcoming community-wide “Living for Zachary Heart Screening” event will help you do just that!

On Saturday, July 17, the Collin County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) and the North Texas REALTORS® in Action Foundation (NTRIAF) will host a free community-wide special heart screening program for children. Created by Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano. These screenings can help detect heart abnormalities that may lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

The screenings are for youth ages 12-22, and any child under the age of 18 must have a parent present. The cost is free, but appointments are required, so be sure to register online at studentheartscreenings.com. The event will run from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. at CCAR’s headquarters parking lot located at 6821 Coit Road, Plano, TX 75024.

In conjunction with the screenings, CCAR and NTRIAF also working to “Stuff the Bus” for Frisco ISD. Whether you’re coming for a heart screening or not, you can still participate in this event. Just bring any NEW items listed below:

  • Packages of socks
  • Packages of underwear
  • Shoes
  • Belts
  • Purses
  • Hair accessories
  • Clothes
  • Coats
  • Pajamas
